Elsa’s in the Park Restaurant
History: This Romanesque style building constructed in 1890 was originally home to Arnold and Quistorf’s Tavern, but has been converted to this downtown Milwaukee landmark restaurant.
Scope: Restoration of red sandstone exterior veneer.
Challenge: The matching of red sandstone where original fabric is no longer allowed to be quarried.
Result: Selection of matching material from European quarry and rebuilding of sandstone window mullions and surrounding architectural features.
