Concrete Restoration

Back

Milwaukee War Memorial

History: Located on Milwaukee’s waterfront, the Milwaukee War Memorial was designed by architect Eero Saarinen and was dedicated on Veterans Day in 1957. The building is considered a classic in the development of modern architecture in the Milwaukee area.

Scope: Repairs to exterior poured-in-place architectural concrete

Challenge: The original colored concrete poured was difficult to match and had multiple discolored repair efforts from previous restoration programs.

Result: Restoration of all unsound concrete and application of silane-based potassium silicate integral color pigmentation for uniform façade restoration.
